Most of us probably thought about the possibility of a bit of an upset stomach or perhaps a cold, but Covid-19 has changed this. In the hotel industry we now have to be sure that guests are confident that they will stay well and also be able to enjoy their stay without worry. Why Gangga Island Resort & Spa?

Apart from Gangga Island being absolute paradise, there are now more reasons to book Gangga Island Resort & Spa. Over recent months the management and staff at the resort have been busy preparing for when travel restrictions lift. There are now many extra sanitizing and health procedures in place.

Luckily, thanks to the resort’s island location and spacious natural setting, it is easy to control people coming and going from the resort. Only staff and guests are allowed onto the resort grounds and everyone must have a temperature check and ensure they have no symptoms of illness before they enter. Once they are in the resort all staff and guests not traveling together are asked to stay at least 1.5 metres from each other.

Safety Measures in Place

There are also plenty of new safety measures in place, including contactless check in and the standard protocol of staff members wearing masks at all times. Some staff members are also required to wear a visor and gloves. One of the most significant changes to protocol is the ‘Triple Check System’ of cleaning and sanitizing public spaces and rooms that is now used throughout the resort.

Select disinfectants are used to make sure high-contact areas like door handles, railings, toilet roll holders, and soap dispensers are sanitized throughout the day. They are also used in daily cleaning of the rooms and an extra thorough deep cleaning when guests check out. This includes the cleaning of air conditioners.

It is also standard now at Gangga Island Resot & Spa that the rooms are left unoccupied for at least 24 hours between guests.

With all these measures in place, we are confident that Gangga Island is a safe place for your next holiday.

Diving Safety

One of the biggest draws to North Sulawesi and Gangga Island is the incredible diving. At Gangga Island Resort & Spa we are proud to have an amazing 5* PADI dive centre with the highest operating standards.

With the worry of the spread of Covid-19 you would think it would be impossible to dive safely but this isn’t necessarily the case. By following strict sanitation protocol it is absolutely possible to dive with very little risk.

Gangga Divers rigorously sterilizes equipment and will be talking divers through safety procedures specifically to prevent cross-contamination between divers. By following these guidelines you will be able to experience the amazing underwater world around Gangga Island.
